Escape from the shadows,

Withdraw from me night,

Abandon the darkness

Rejoice in the light!

Emerge from the hopeless,

Flee to a new day,

Where fruitless and empty

Have faded away.

Where life once more matters

You’ve found a new goal,

An image of purpose

Restoring your soul.

A memory of planning,

In your life’s design,

An urgent reminder

Of needing more time.

An anxious awareness,

Like a sharp, chiming chord

Of an endless horizon

With Jesus, our Lord

Inspired once more to look above,

Answer again to right and wrong,

To claim anew the pure delight

To praise His Name, in word, in song.

We reaffirm Salvation’s truth.

Once more, with Jesus in Accord

The Great Commission, yours and mine,

To tell the World about our Lord!
