The Light Inside of Me Burns Bright

However, it is easily blown out by sin.

Where do I turn? My thoughts sway from

Good to Bad

Night and Day

Thick to Thin.

Truth is that my life is a wick held together by God’s wax

Covered in his scent.

Troubles turn into hardwood floors

As platform for my knees to descend.

My heart is heavy

My mind is torn.

But his cloth covers me by day’s end.

At night it begins to creep the wages of sin.

To be or not to be?

Where would I be without him?

My cup runs all the way over.

The Alpha

The Omega

The Lord is the way to begin.

He leads me on a new path as I try to run away from

My sin.

Pondering the truths of to what

I might give in.

Only the word he speaks is right.

A higher power

A glory from within.

Tell me, Lord Jesus

Where do I fit in?

Is it a mouth to feed

An ear to hear

A voice to speak

A heart to bleed.

How do I help your people and succeed?

Show me the way

And who to be.

I want to share this light

That burns inside of me.
