I just want an embrace
Just want to fall back on Someone
Feel Your strength ’cause mine is gone
It’s not Your fault.
This day is lovely, You made it good
It’s just me
I’m tired and out of it
I just want a tangible representation
Of Your grace and strength and comfort
In a manifestation
I just want an embrace
To collapse into Your strong arms
To feel secure
Like I don’t have to bear it all
It’s a happy day
A day You’ve given
But I’m not feeling joyful
Not even a scrap of energy
I wish I could look forward
Wish I could enjoy the present
I wish I could look backward
Without feeling regret
It’s a good day
That You’ve made
Even so I feel miserable
Don’t ask me why
I just want an embrace.
