Crossroads,
Two roads and one destination,
If we take this path,
We may part or we may collide,
It boils down to the decision,
What steps shall we take?
Ahava,
I’ve asked God countless times about you, and now I have some closure.
Your smile still gives me butterflies, your beauty still captivates my heart, but now I know that you cannot be mine.
I look at you, your countenance so divine; however, I cannot help but wonder where your heart lies.
Pondering while my heart grows fonder,
You are a wonder.
A miracle brought to me,
However, I cannot claim thee,
How can I claim a star so high up in the sky?
I can not help but wonder whether, behind that glow, your heart aches so.
You get lost in the crowd,
You zone out in a distance,
I wonder what is so great to bother a star.
To allow them to shine but drift in heart?
Ahava,
Your smiles are like symphonies to my heart,
In the crowd, you stand out so brightly.
I can’t even pretend to ignore your presence.
The art of letting go.
The bittersweet melody tunes its guitar, preparing a banquet of tears.
For as suddenly as you stepped into my world,
So likely I must let go.
I cannot chase a miracle that does not want to be conquered, or I shall become a walking dead in the day,
Dead to feelings and self.
Oh, Ahava!
Twinkle! You shine so bright,
I’ll pray to God,
May you never lose your spark.
This is not the end,
I cling to Abba’s appointed time.
(Isaiah 60:22)
Little do we know what lies beyond the aisle.
Eternity is not the end.
Hopefully in Abba’s hands,
He will unite us in His arms.
Next: Ahava
