Who would want to invest in something so broken down?
Drowned in imperfections
Impounded by rejections
And confounded in negative reflections
Days go by, living in cycles that give no advancement in life
Constantly feeling strife
And being stabbed by depression like the most agonizing knife
Thinking of myself as a house that has been abandoned
Begging the world for help but being left stranded
Feeling the constant emotion of loneliness and wondering how to expand from it
Who would want to invest in something so broken down?
I found someone who truly saved my soul
He helped me take back my joy that the devil stole
He made an investment in me that nobody could believe
Saw something in me that I could not see
Changed my abandoned house and made for me a mansion of gold
Molded me into someone who is strong and bold
To all my enemies who thought I would fold
He made me so rich that they couldn’t even behold
That is why my faith is so strong
When I was broken down, He made an investment in me despite my wrongs
So again I ask, who would invest in something so broken down?
Jesus is His name!
For He always remains the same
His love is true
He made the investment in me, and I know He’ll make the investment in you!
