I’ve walked through some valleys I thought would not end,
Carried some wounds I did not know how to mend.
I’ve searched for my place, asking, “Where do I fit?”
And wondered if somehow I’d ever find it.

I’ve known what it feels like to be left behind,
To question my worth, my purpose, my mind.
I’ve carried the weight of what others believed,
And wore who they told me I ought to be.

For so many years, I thought I was defined
By the words people spoke and the roles they designed.
“This is who you are.”
“This is who you’ll be.”
Until one day God whispered,
“Come and find Me.”

And there in the quiet, when no one could see,
He started revealing the woman in me.
Not who they expected,
Not who I had been,
But the woman He knew
Before I could see her within.

I thought I was broken by all that I’d lost,
Not knowing redemption would come at a cost.
I thought every ending meant something was wrong,
But God was still writing when I couldn’t move on.

Some people had left.
Some seasons had closed.
Some prayers weren’t answered
The way I supposed.

And I cried, “Father,
Did I get it all wrong?
Did I miss what You wanted?
Did I wait too long?”

But He didn’t answer
With reasons or blame.
He simply reminded me
He knew my name.

He taught me that sometimes
His “no” is protection,
That waiting can strengthen
Our faith and direction.

That losing a person
Doesn’t mean I’ve been lost.
That following Jesus
Is worth every cost.

So I’m learning to trust Him
When I cannot see,
To loosen my grip
And let God simply be.

I don’t need to chase
What He hasn’t ordained.
I don’t need to force
What He hasn’t sustained.

If He wants it to stay,
Then His hand will provide.
If He asks me to leave,
He’ll still walk by my side.

And if love finds me
In a season unknown,
I’ll know that my future
Was never my own.

For before I was someone’s,
Before I was known,
Before I was someone’s
To call as their own,

I was already chosen.
Already adored.
Already the daughter
Of my heavenly Lord.

So I will not measure
My life by what’s gone,
Or believe I’m behind
Because others moved on.

I will not call waiting
A life put on hold.
For God is still shaping
The story He told.

Maybe the woman
I thought I had lost
Was never truly lost—
She was worth every cost.

Maybe the years
That I called wasted time
Were God gently teaching
My heart how to shine.

Maybe every heartbreak,
Each tear that I cried,
Was making more room
For His presence inside.

And maybe the moments
I thought I was alone
Were the very same moments
He called me His own.

So if you’re in a season
Where nothing makes sense,
Where you’ve prayed for an answer
And still feel suspense,

Don’t call yourself forgotten.
Don’t call yourself late.
Don’t think that your waiting
Means God made a mistake.

He sees every tear.
He knows every fear.
He hasn’t forgotten.
Your Father is near.

And if everything changes,
If everyone goes,
If the road gets uncertain
And nobody knows

What tomorrow will bring
Or what lies ahead,
I’ll trust in the One
Who knows where I’m led.

Because people may leave,
And some seasons may end.
He’ll still be my Father,
My Savior, my Friend.

And if I lose love,
I’ll remember His grace.
If I lose my way,
He’ll still show me the place.

If the world doesn’t see
What He’s making in me,
I’ll remember the woman
That He alone sees.

I am not forgotten.
I’m not left behind.
I’m not what was taken,
Or what I couldn’t find.

I am not my failures.
I’m not yesterday.
I’m not every person
Who chose to walk away.

I am His daughter,
And His I will be—
Through every tomorrow,
Through all I can’t see.

So whatever may leave,
Whatever may end,
Whatever gets broken
And has to be mended,

One thing will remain
When the rest disappears:

I am still His daughter,
And He is still here.

Still His
when I’m waiting.

Still His
when I’m hurting.

Still His
when I’m healing.

Still His
when I’m learning.

Still His
when I don’t understand.

Still His
when I can’t see the plan.

And when this life brings me
to places unknown,

I’ll remember the truth
I’ve finally been shown:

I don’t have to know
what tomorrow will bring.

I only have to trust
my Father and King.

Because through every valley,
through every goodbye,
through every unanswered
“Father, but why?”

He never let go.
He never disappeared.

I was always His daughter.
And He was always here.
