Today is the day I stop running.
The day I lay down every fear, every excuse, every chain I’ve carried for far too long.
Today is the day I stop saying someday.
Someday I’ll change.
Someday I’ll pray more.
Someday I’ll be on fire for you.
No. Lord, today is that day.
Today is the day I choose faith over fear, truth over comfort, your Word over the world and its sinful desires.
I’m done trying to fit into places you already called me out of.
I’m done blending in when you’ve told me that I’m the salt and light of the world (Matt. 5:13–14).
I’m done calling lukewarm faith good enough.
You didn’t hold anything back for me; you gave up everything, so why should I only give you some pieces of me?
Lord, you went to the extent of death on the cross to having 7-inch nails driven through your hands and feet, a crown of thorns struck on your head, and a spear pierced in your side!
Lord, all you ask is that we give our hearts to you and put our faith in you, not halfway but to be all in and to be a people wholly and devoted to you, Lord, to be so deeply rooted in your Word.
Today, I surrender it all.
The pride.
The doubt.
The need to always try to control what I cannot control.
I trade it for peace, for purpose; I trade it all for you, Lord Jesus.
Today is the day I start walking like I believe.
Like I know who I am in Jesus Christ, my Savior!
Chosen. Redeemed. I am a child of the Most High God!
Today is the day I remember that grace always wins, that mercy still calls my name.
That the cross still speaks freedom, and that the grave is saying victory — because Jesus has defeated death once and for all!
So here I am, Lord, all my broken pieces; I lay here at the altar, right here at your feet, Lord.
Today is the day. The day I choose to deny myself, pick up my cross and follow you, and choose you again, and again, and again day after day!
Today is the day I live like I’m free, where I burn for your glory and yours alone, God!!
Amen! Lord, today is the day! Soli Deo Gloria!
